Forum marketing is a great tool to add to your marketing arsenal. Not only does it drive traffic to your website but it also can position you as an authority in your niche. The key to forum and any other online marketing is simple. You must speak to your market in their terms and you must provide valuable content.
You can post comments in your niche market or in any forums where you find an interest. Let’s say for example, you are an auto mechanic who teaches teenagers how to fix flats and change oil and you are also an internet marketer. You’ve created some videos and articles showing them just how to do it. However, you are new to internet marketing and really don’t know how to drive traffic to your basic auto training website. Simply do a Google search for auto forums or a specific car and truck forums and join in on the discussions.
As you post comments within the forums you would include a link back to your website. There is an art of doing this correctly so here are a few tips to get you started with any niche and in any forum.
Don’t spam your business all over the forum- If you do this you will be ignored.
Use positive comments – even if someone is totally wrong with their post use your creativity and manners to provide the correct view in a positive manner.
