How to Set up Your Own Avatar on The Internet in 2 minutes or Less for Free

A big part of branding yourself online is making sure your brand, your picture or what your business is all about is everywhere your target market goes on the internet.  As you make comments on blogs, forums and social media it is critical to leave your brand everywhere.

Think about Nike, Coke or Apple.  Those brands are all over the sports stores and arenas, grocery stores and electronic locations. We see those brands and immediately know what they represent.  Well, that’s what you want with your brand on the internet. You want your face, blog and your business known everywhere and one easy way to brand yourself online is by use of your own avatar.

You’ve seen blog or forum comments where some of the comments show the picture of the person making it and others do not.  If you really want to market your brand you want your avatar showing so your target market begins to know you.  It’s easy and best of all it’s free. Here’s how:

  • Go to Gravatar.com
  • All you need to supply is an email address to sign up
  • Upload a picture of you or whatever brand you want to represent you and your business
  • That’s it

Now when you leave blog and forum comments your personal avatar will show instead of that empty picture that you see all over the net. The great part is that you only have to do this once. You can update your image at any time. You can even have multiple images for different email addresses.

So start right now to brand yourself all over the internet because this gives you credibility using your own globally recognized avatar.
