As you’ve heard all over the industry, most network marketers are broke. That’s why they are coming online in droves to generate leads and recruit even at the discouragement of their up line. Most up lines are unaware of how to be a successful internet network marketer and for the most part they will tell their down lines to use traditional methods of network marketing, i.e. chasing friends, family and everyone.

What both the network marketer and the up line must come to terms with, is that internet network marketing is just another avenue for marketing their business. The strategies of network marketing that have been used for hundreds of years still work. Home parties, hotel meetings, super Saturdays and the like. However, the internet provides an avenue of being able to reach a worldwide audience of prospects that once were not available. Internet network marketing is just another vehicle in the marketing arsenal.

Many network marketers won’t embrace this idea because they believe they have to really be technical and understand a lot of techno lingo. In essence all you really need are some basic skills which are primarily the ones you should have if you are in the industry anyway. The skills are the same regardless  of marketing on the internet or in an offline environment.  The basic skills necessary for success in this industry are:

  • Relationship building
  • Mastering the Invitation ( Instead of Meetings, now it’s Webinars)
  • Personal development and training
  • 3 way calls
  • Follow up strategies

You see, these are the exact skills you need using traditional network marketing methods. The sooner network marketing companies and up lines embrace the internet the sooner their organizations can grow to explosive heights. Internet network marketing is not hard. It opens your business up to an audience you may have never been able to reach. That’s the reason it is so powerful and should not and cannot be ignored. If you ignore the internet your competition will crush you.

The business of network marketing has always been and will always be a relationship business. If you can build relationships which are particularly easy using social media, your chances of success are huge. As broke network marketers come online to find an answer, the sooner they find guidance and education from the company and their up line, the sooner explosive growth in any network marketing business can occur.  The new business model for network marketing in the 21st century must include the internet not as the sole source for success but as an additional tool.
